THE POWER TO GIVE
Giving is a central teaching in Christianity; in fact, in all other ethical religions. But selfishness is also a major theme in biblical stories. It is a strong reality in human nature to the point that many consider it as the norm. Nagkakaroon ng pagtutunggali yung pagiging palabigay at palakabig. How would normal or selfishness-prone individuals overcome such weakness and be empowered to give and become givers as God wants them to be?
THE POWER TO FORGIVE
Forgiving is in the heart of Christian doctrine. But anger, hatred, and desire for vengeance are also recurrent themes of biblical stories to the point that they have become the “norm” of the fallen human nature. How could these so-called “normal” or selfishness-prone individuals overcome such weaknesses and be powerful enough to forgive?
